Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has slammed his players for lacking concentration in their 2-2 draw with Benin in their opening Group F clash in Tuesday evening.

Mickael Pote gave Benin a shock lead at the Ismailia Stadium after two minutes but Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew restored parity.

Jordan put Ghana in front with a delightful finish, but Pote earned the Squirrels a point after John Boye was dismissed for a second yellow card.

“It was a good game, we didn’t concentrate in the first half. In the second half it was hard to play with 10 players,” Appiah said in the post-match conference.

“A draw is reasonable. I didn’t lose hope in my team and wait for us in the next game.”

Ghana next play defending champions Cameroon on Saturday.
