Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin Suleman received a red card in Rayo Vallecano's recent La Liga win against Deportivo Alaves.

The Black Stars center-back was dismissed in the 22nd minute for a reckless tackle on Alaves forward Toni Martinez. Referee Adrián Cordero Vega initially issued Mumin a yellow card, but a VAR review upgraded it to a straight red.

Despite playing with ten men for most of the game, Vallecano managed to clinch a late victory, thanks to an own goal from Alaves' Antonio Sivera.

Mumin, who was named Rayo Vallecano's Player of the Month for September following his impressive form, will now miss upcoming matches against Villarreal, Las Palmas, and Sevilla.

So far this season, the Right to Dream Academy graduate has made 11 appearances, scoring once and providing an assist for Vallecano in La Liga.
