Ghana’s Futsal National Team has received a morale-boosting after meeting President John Dramani Mahama in Zambia as preparations intensify for the crucial return leg of their 2026 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia.
The meeting took place in Lusaka, where the Black Stars Futsal team arrived ahead of the decisive encounter. Mr Mahama encouraged the players and technical staff, urging them to remain focused and confident as they chase qualification for the continental tournament.
Ghana travelled to Zambia with high hopes following an entertaining 6–6 draw in the first leg, played in Cape Coast. The thrilling encounter showcased the attacking strength and resilience of both sides, with goals flowing freely in a match that kept fans on edge until the final whistle.
The goal-laden draw leaves the tie finely balanced, setting the stage for a tense and decisive second leg in Lusaka. With both teams having demonstrated their scoring ability, Ghana will be aiming to convert their chances and secure a historic qualification away from home.
