In the wake of Ghana's 4-0 loss to the United States in a recent international friendly, Ghana head coach Chris Hughton has acknowledged his understanding of what football means to the people of Ghana.

The Black Stars endured a challenging match, with all four goals scored by the United States in the first 39 minutes and no further goals in the remainder of the game.

When questioned about the progress he has witnessed in the team since taking over, Hughton emphasized his extensive experience in the football world and the profound connection between the sport and the Ghanaian people.

"I understand all the consequences because I've been doing this for a long time, and I know what the game means to Ghanaians," Hughton expressed during a press conference.

He also highlighted a positive aspect, stating, "There is also a positive; we have qualified for the Africa Cup nations. If anybody thinks it is given to you, it is not. We have to go through a qualification group."

Hughton acknowledged the challenges in building the team, including addressing issues related to some players missing from the squad and the pursuit of consistency in the team.

He affirmed his dedication to finding the right formula for success.

The 4-0 defeat to the United States marked the Black Stars' second loss in three days, following an earlier 2-0 defeat to the same opponent.

Despite these recent setbacks, Hughton remains resolute in his commitment to the team's development and success in future endeavors.
