Ugandan influencer and CEO of the Urban Empire Group, Ratibu Urban, believes that Ghana comes across as the most organized and calmest country he has ever visited.

Ghana has strategically placed itself as a global brand and has over the years been touted as the “Gateway to Africa” courtesy of the legendary “Year of Return” and “Beyond the Return” initiatives. The country has witnessed a vast number of people, largely from the Diaspora troop in to experience the country in sundry.

According to Ratibu Urban, the attraction of Ghana has been a mystery to most East African countries. However, their perception of Ghana is no different to its global reputation.

In an exclusive interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Myd Morning Radio Show” with Rev Erskine, the Ugandan marketing genius said, “We’ve thought of Ghana as a very fun and calm country. We know and have seen most of the Westerns, mainly from the Diaspora, love it here when they come to Ghana. The big guys like Jay Z, recently Dave Chapelle, Meek Mill and the rest love it here. We have also seen how Nigerians troop in here to enjoy and now I think I’ve gotten to know why.”

“I feel this country is so calm and the environment is so friendly. It has that cool breeze from here and I get why Africa’s big artistes like Wizkid and Burna Boy love to come to Ghana. We in Uganda and most of us in the East at some point thought these people were related to Ghana but we kept asking what is in Ghana that these guys keep coming here,” he added.

For Urban, he has always wondered about the secret behind Ghana’s reputation and pulling power. Hence planned a visit to Ghana as part of his wishlist.

After his visit, he believes Ghana’s organization and hospitality come next to none in Africa.

“I put Ghana on my list to come here and see what is in here and I love it. Ghana never misses. It is very beautiful country and organized country that I’ve never seen in most of the countries I’ve been to. Very easy place with people well exposed and so nice,” he declared.
