Ghana legend Karim Abdul Razak has no career regrets for failing to play in a FIFA World Cup finals.
Razak, nicknamed the Golden Boy, won the Nations Cup in 1978 after he scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Uganda.

His exploits in the tournamnet earned him the prestigius African Footballer of the Year.

Razak won the defunct CAF Cup Winners’ Cup in 1983 with Arab Contractors of Egypt and also the double at Ivorian side at Africa Sports before hanging my boots in the early 90’s.

''Not at all! During my days, the ultimate was the Africa Cup of Nations not the World Cup and that is why we won many AFCON titles,'' the former New York Cosmos player told cafonline.com

''We did not do well in the World Cup qualifiers. It was recently that a lot was done and Ghana has qualified for the last three World Cups.

''However, we have missed the AFCON title since 1982. I have no regret of not playing at the World Cup. This is how far God decided to bring me, and I cannot ask for more. I’m happy with what I achieved in my life.''
