Cote d'Ivoire secured their spot at the 2020 summer Olympics with a 2(3)-(2) 2 win over Ghana in their U23 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.

The Ivorians scored the opener in the first half of the game with most of the chances coming their way.

Kwame Baah came to Ghana's rescue, as the shot-stopper pulled off superb saves in the first half to deny the Ivorians a second goal.

Ghana got off to a brighter start in the second half, as captain Yaw Yeboah equalised
in the 53rd minute to return confidence in team.

The Ivorians pushed hard and scored their second goal. Ghana again in the added time equalised through E. Mensah to make it 2-2 which ended in a dramatic 90 minutes.

The West Africa derby ended 2-2 in the extra time.

Cote d'Ivoire won the game on a 3-2 penalties.

Cote d'Ivoire now move on to the Afcon final, while Ghana, will fight for the final ticket for the Olympic games in the third/fourth play-off.
