The Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Agyemang Badu II, has praised President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, saying the country is on the right path under his leadership.

In a viral video cited on Sunday, December 28, the traditional ruler said although he would never associate himself with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for personal reasons, he believes the policies being implemented by President Mahama are helping to reset the country.
“I will never support NDC, I am not affiliated to the NDC and I will not support them till I die, but I have been an NPP member before. But where President Mahama is governing the country, anyone that says it is not in a straight direction is a liar, “he said.

The Dormaahene also pointed to recent economic indicators, noting that the cedi-to-dollar exchange rate currently stands at GH¢11.49, which he said reflects relative stability in the foreign exchange market since President Mahama assumed office.

He further cited what he described as key achievements within the President’s first 11 months in office, including a directive to the Ministry of Finance to release GH¢1 billion to contractors owed by the state since 2017. He said the move would help clear longstanding arrears and stimulate economic activity.
