Hearts of Oak return to action in matchday three of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League, welcoming newly promoted Eleven Wonders to the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 26.
The record MTN FA Cup holders have picked up four points from their opening two fixtures—starting with a goalless draw against debutants Hohoe United, followed by a narrow 1–0 win over Dreams FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park.
Club captain Kelvin Osei Asibey has cautioned against underestimating Eleven Wonders, despite their shaky start to the campaign.
“It’s a team that has been promoted to the Ghana Premier League and at the same time they will play against Hearts of Oak, so it will not be an easy game,” he told Hearts TV.
“They have it at the back of their heads that they are playing against Hearts of Oak and they will come all out… But we will also not rest on our oars. We are going all out on Friday.”
Meanwhile, their opponents, Eleven Wonders drew 0–0 with Holy Stars in week one before suffering a 4–1 home defeat to Heart of Lions in week two.
Veteran goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who produced multiple saves to preserve the win against Dreams FC, will be crucial in maintaining Hearts’ defensive solidity.
A win for Hearts would take them to seven points, potentially placing them among the early frontrunners in the league. The club is also looking to reignite fan support, with hopes of a strong turnout at the Accra Sports Stadium.
