Serbian top-flight club OFK Beograd has completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Samuel Owusu in the ongoing transfer window.
Owusu, who recently played for Saudi Arabian side NEOM SC, returns to Europe with high expectations for the 2024/25 season.
The Black Stars winger is no stranger to Serbian football, having previously played for Superliga clubs Čukarički and Radnik Niš.
His experience in the Serbian league is expected to be a significant asset for OFK Beograd as they look to bolster their squad.
Owusu's return to Serbia comes after a challenging period where he struggled with fitness issues that kept him sidelined for several months.
Now back in action, he is eager to make an impact and potentially earn a recall to the Ghana national team. Owusu has made 17 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring one goal since his debut in 2019.
He was also part of Ghana's squads for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and 2021.
The 28-year-old winger began his overseas career with Radnik Niš before moving to Turkey to play for Gençlerbirliği in 2016.
He returned to Serbia in 2017, joining Čukarički, where his impressive performances caught the eye of then-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
As Owusu embarks on his third stint in Serbia, he aims to contribute significantly to OFK Beograd's success and reestablish himself on the international stage with the Black Stars.
