Black Stars defender Dennis Odoi has been celebrated by his former club Fulham as he has been awarded with the Forever Fulham award by the club.

He was handed a winners medal on Monday as his former side Fulham lifted the English Championship trophy.

Odoi who left in the January transfer window took the opportunity to say his goodbyes to the fans of Fulham as he didn't get the chance to say his goodbyes.

"I am happy for everybody, for my teammates, the fans and the technical staff," he said during half time of the game between Fulham and Luton.

"I tried to text everybody when we got promoted and I wanted them to know I was still following.

Dennis Odoi started the campaign with the Whites and played a key role in their early return to the topflight.

"It's very nice. Obviously, I didn't expect to leave and it all happened quickly. I didn't have a chance to say goodbye so when I saw people say they are playing on Monday, I decided to come."

Despite departing in the January transfer window, Odoi qualified for a winner's medal and hence was in the stands to watch his former employers in their last home game.
The 33-year-old versatile defender joined the Premier League-bound Fulham in the summer of 2016 and went on to make 177 appearances across six seasons with the Cottagers.

Since swapping the English second-tier for the Belgian top-flight, Odoi has made 12 appearances for Club Brugge in all competitions, scoring a goal.

He made his debut for Ghana at the age of 33 in the first leg of the double header against Nigeria.
