Ghanaian defender Philip Gameli Awuku has officially signed with Turkish second-division club Manisa FK, in a move that promises to bolster the team's defense for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract with the option to extend for an additional year.

Awuku's transfer to Manisa FK follows his departure from Tuzlaspor earlier this summer, where he was a free agent.

His professional journey began in Ghana with Okyeman Planners FC, before making a significant leap to Turkey's Super Lig by joining Yeni Malatyaspor for the 2020-2021 season.

During his time at Yeni Malatyaspor, Awuku gained valuable experience before moving to Tuzlaspor for the 2022-2023 season, where he quickly became a key figure in the squad.

Over the course of his career, he has made 83 official appearances and scored four goals, demonstrating his defensive reliability and occasional ability to contribute offensively.

Manisa FK's acquisition of Awuku is seen as a strategic move to fortify their backline as they aim for success in the upcoming season.

Awuku has expressed his excitement about joining the club and is eager to make a significant contribution to their ambitions.
