Ghanaian center-back Samuel Sarfo has completed a move to Najran Sports Club in the Saudi Second Division on a one-year deal.
This follows the expiration of his contract with Al Taraji, another club in Saudi Arabia.
Sarfo, a former Liberty Professionals standout, has spent the past six years playing in the Gulf region, including stints with various teams such as Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League.
His experience and solid defensive skills are expected to be valuable assets for Najran as they aim to secure promotion back to the First Division after their relegation last season.
Najran Sports Club confirmed the signing with a statement: "The management of the Najran club, headed by Mr.
Hadi bin Hamad Al-Kulaib, has completed the procedures for contracting with the Ghanaian international defender Samuel Sarfo to represent the first football team in the 2024-2025 sports season."
Sarfo, visibly thrilled with his new opportunity, expressed his gratitude on social media, writing: "Thank you Holy Spirit." As he takes on this new challenge, he will be a key figure in Najran's efforts to regain their place in the higher league.
