Several former and current Ghanaian football stars gathered to offer their support to Prince Tagoe as he laid his mother, Reverend Joyce Tagoe, to rest over the weekend.

Reverend Joyce Tagoe passed away on Tuesday, November 2024, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. She was a respected Christian and clergy member at Kairos Chapel, Matuero Assembly in East Legon.

Prince Tagoe, a former professional footballer who retired in 2019, is celebrated for his remarkable career, particularly in the Ghana Premier League, where he played for notable clubs such as Hearts of Oak, Hoffenheim, Club Africain, and Al Ittihad.

On the international stage, Tagoe earned 36 caps for the Black Stars between 2006 and 2012, scoring seven goals.

He was also part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.

The footballing community's presence at the funeral reflected the deep respect and bond shared among Ghana’s footballing fraternity.
