Ghanaian-born forward Michael Appiah, a standout player from Florida International University (FIU), is set to play alongside global soccer legend Lionel Messi at Inter Miami CF for the upcoming season. Appiah was selected as the 82nd overall pick in the third round of the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft on Friday.

Appiah expressed his gratitude and excitement for this opportunity: "It is truly a dream come true for someone like me, coming from a small village in Ghana, to have the opportunity to play for Inter Miami. The journey has been shaped by years of hard work, sacrifice, and the unwavering support of my family, coaches, and the community."
