Ghanaian left-back Issaka 'Baba' Seidu has been promoted to the first team of Danish club FC Nordsjaelland after impressing during his time with the youth setup.

Seidu, who joined the club in June from Ghana's renowned Right to Dream Academy, initially spent time developing in Nordsjaelland's youth team.

Following his remarkable displays and potential, Seidu has earned a spot in the senior team and will now be a permanent member of the squad, donning the number 30 jersey.

"We have been tracking Baba for a long time, especially noticing his exceptional speed at left-back," said the club's Technical Director, Alex Riget.

"He’s also strong in defensive duels, making him a valuable asset in our offensive play. We’re eager to see more of his abilities at the Superliga level."

Riget also highlighted Seidu's connection to the Right to Dream Academy, adding, "He comes from the academy in Ghana, and we have seen his growth both there and at the international academy."

The young defender expressed his excitement and readiness to contribute to the team, saying, "It feels amazing to be part of the Superliga squad, and I am proud of this achievement.

I have been with the organization for many years, and it’s a big step for a young player like me."

Seidu joined the Right to Dream Academy at age 12 and is eager to take the next step in his career. "I know the playing style, and I’ve played many big games with several of my teammates.

I can’t wait to step onto the pitch and hopefully make my teammates and the fans proud," he added.

This promotion marks a significant milestone for Seidu, who will be looking to make an impact in Denmark’s top flight with FC Nordsjaelland.
