A Ghanaian national, Benjamin Offei, who had lived in Copenhagen, Denmark, for several years, has been discovered dead in the garage of his residence, with authorities currently probing the circumstances surrounding his death.
Accounts from close friends and information circulating widely on social media indicate that Mr Offei had devoted 19 years to a relationship that later became a marriage, during which he lovingly raised four children between the ages of 12 and 18, firmly believing they were his biological children.
The situation reportedly took a tragic turn after a DNA paternity test revealed that none of the children were biologically related to him. The revelation is said to have triggered intense emotional distress and psychological shock.
Friends and acquaintances have recounted that in the days leading up to his death, Mr Offei was overwhelmed with grief, frequently breaking down in tears during phone conversations and struggling to come to terms with the discovery.
The disclosure, which shattered nearly two decades of family life and personal sacrifice, is believed to have left him in deep emotional turmoil.
While officials have not yet released further details on the cause of death, investigations remain ongoing to establish the full facts surrounding the tragic incident.
