Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Agyekum made his debut for Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League over the weekend.

The 20-year-old, who joined the club on loan from Red Bull Salzburg earlier this summer, played the full 90 minutes in the league opener, despite his side's disappointing defeat.

Partnering with fellow Ghanaian Abu Francis in midfield, Agyekum showcased his skills on the European stage.

His solid performance is indicative of his swift adaptation to his new environment since joining Cercle Brugge.

Agyekum's move to Cercle Brugge adds to the growing presence of Ghanaian players in the Belgian league, which now features a total of 11 Ghanaian talents.

The young midfielder, who made his European debut for the club before the league opener, is expected to play a significant role in the team's campaign this season.
