Ghanaian international, Paul Ayongo has joined Armenian club Ararat-Armenia and is billed to feature in the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League next season. The 28-year-old forward is the second summer addition for the Armenian vice-champions ahead of the start of the new season.
Ayongo moves from Portuguese side Chaves where he made 25 appearances, 3 goals, and 2 assists last season. The Ghanaian spent most of his career in the Portuguese second tier with the likes of Leiria, Mafra, Amarante and others. He also played in Australia and Luxembourg for clubs like Central Coast FC and Hesperange respectively. The former Charity Stars attacker has now spent a decade in playing professionally abroad after leaving the shores of Ghana in July 2014.
