Ghanaian teenage striker Ofosu Boakye has been rewarded for his impressive progress with a new contract at Dutch Eredivisie club Go Ahead Eagles, keeping him at the club until mid-2029.
The 18-year-old, who joined the club in April 2025, has been making waves with the U21 squad and has already been training with the senior team. While Boakye is yet to make his first-team debut, the club believes he has the potential to become a key player in the future.
“It is great to remain part of this team for the coming years,” Boakye said after signing the deal. “Last year I signed my first contract with the goal of showing my potential. Fortunately, I was able to show that to the club. It is great that this is now being rewarded with a new contract!”
Go Ahead Eagles’ technical manager, Marc van Hintum, expressed optimism about Boakye’s development. “In Ofosu, we see an interesting striker for the future. It is not without reason that he signed his first contract at the age of 17. This season, he is already training regularly with the squad, and the intention is to make Ofosu a full member of the first team,” van Hintum said.
Boakye’s new deal signals the club’s confidence in his talent and their commitment to nurturing his potential as he continues his journey in Dutch football.
