Ghanaian teenager John Batigi continued his impressive form in the Armenian Premier League, scoring and assisting in FC Van's 2-0 victory over FC Shirak Gyumri on Monday.
The 18-year-old forward, who previously represented Ghana at the U17 level, played a pivotal role in the win at the Gyumri City Stadium.
Batigi set up Guinean forward Momo Fanye Toure for the opening goal in the 50th minute.
He then sealed the victory with a stunning strike from outside the box, finding the bottom left corner past goalkeeper Darko Vukasinovic.
Batigi’s performance comes on the back of a two-goal showing in FC Van's 6-1 triumph over FC Gandzasar last week.
In just four matches of the 2023-24 campaign, the promising young talent has already netted three goals in his first European experience.
