Ghanaian goalkeeper Rome Jayden Owusu-Oduro produced a standout performance to help his side secure a dramatic 2-1 victory over FC Twente in the Dutch Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper was at the heart of the win, making seven crucial saves from inside the penalty area during a gruelling 120-minute contest. His composure and reflexes repeatedly denied Twente and kept his team in the tie during key moments.

Owusu-Oduro’s performance did not go unnoticed. He was named Man of the Match by Sofascore, earning an exceptional rating of 9.8, one of the highest of the competition this season.

The match also featured another Ghanaian, Ibrahim Sadiq, who played 72 minutes and contributed to a disciplined team display before being withdrawn.

With the victory sending his side into the semi-finals, Owusu-Oduro’s night in goal was widely praised as the defining factor in the result.

For the young Ghanaian, the display further strengthens his growing reputation in Dutch football, as he continues to impress on big occasions and underline his potential at the highest level.
