Black Stars midfielder Amankwah Forson has completed a move to English Championship side Norwich City during the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old Ghana international has signed a four-year contract with the Canaries, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months, arriving from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg.

Forson, who began his European career in 2021 after transferring from West Africa Football Academy, enjoyed a successful spell in Austria.

He capped his time at Salzburg by winning the Austrian Bundesliga title, but now sets his sights on a new challenge in England, aiming to help Norwich City secure promotion to the Premier League.

"I'm really happy and excited to come to the club," Forson said after finalizing the deal. "The head coach has worked with many young players before, and it's really nice to be here working with him."

At Carrow Road, Forson will don the number 18 jersey as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.

He made his debut for the Ghana national team in March 2024, putting in a strong performance against Nigeria in a match held in Morocco.

Since then, Forson has remained a key part of the Black Stars squad, contributing to their back-to-back victories in the World Cup qualifiers in June.
