NEW DELHI: According to an online report, tech giant Google is planning to introduce a new Google smartwatch, new Nest Cam, updated Google Home and the much-teased budget Pixel 3 Lite smartphone this year at its Made by Google hardware event. As reported by 9to5Google Google will launch all the above mentioned devices this year. The report also adds that along with all these devices, the company will also launch its flagship smartphone Google Pixel 4.
The report adds that Google is gearing up for the launch of of the budget Pixel 3 Lite this year which will compete against the last year launched iPhone XR. The smartphone is also said to be priced lower than the iPhone XR. A recent leak revealed that the smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and runs Android 10 operating system. No other detail about the smartphone is available right now. Neither the company has confirmed anything about the smartphone.

It is also expected that the company might launch its long awaited Pixel Watch this year. Google recently acquired wearable manufacturer Fossil which hints that the company might come up with its own-wearable this time. If launched the device will come with WearOS and will compete against Apple Watch.

The list of device which will launch this year also include an updated version of Google Home smart speaker. It is not clear that whether the company will launch the second generation of standard Google Home released at the October event last year or it will be a new device.

The report mentions, "The company will also roll out an updated version of its signature smart speaker Google Home this year, as well as a new smartwatch to compete with the Apple Watch, the person familiar with the plan said."

The company is also expected to revamp its Nest Cam lineup this year. The company is said to be working on rebranding of Nest and also integrating it with its own hardware team. "Google plans to release a new security camera later this year after it integrated the team from Nest Labs, the tech startup it acquired in 2014. Nest Labs has been building household-use security cameras since 2015", adds the report.
