Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has praised his players for their tactical discipline and resilience following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League week 10 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The “Fire Boys” took an early lead through Emmanuel Marfo, who reacted quickest after Kotoko goalkeeper Aziz Dari spilled a long-range strike from Seidu Saana. The Porcupine Warriors responded through Lord Amoah, whose powerful finish from a defensive lapse brought the hosts level.
Despite the draw, Aristica was full of praise for his side’s performance:
“I congratulate the players. They respected our tactics from the first minute to ninety minutes,” he said. “Kotoko have individual players better than us, but I have a team that is disciplined and works together.”
Both teams created chances in an evenly contested match, and Aristica acknowledged the quality on display:
“We had three or four chances, and if we had scored, we would win the game. Kotoko also had three or four chances. I congratulate both teams because they played very good football — and if it continues like this, it is good for Ghana football.”
Aduana’s draw keeps them third on the league table with 20 points from 10 matches, boasting six wins, two draws, and two losses. The result also extended their unbeaten run to six games, reinforcing their status as one of the most consistent sides this season.
