Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed frustration at his side’s inability to break down Bechem United, after the Yellow and Mauve were held to a 0-0 draw at the TNA Park in their Matchday 11 Ghana Premier League fixture.
Despite dominating possession, Medeama failed to convert their control into goals, with Bechem’s goalkeeper Benjamin Kwesi producing a standout performance to deny the hosts.
“I think we had most of the ball, but the last bite was not there. They [Bechem United] came to play with all their men behind the ball and then go for the counter, and it worked for them very well,” Tanko said.
“I think we didn’t have the patience to finish off our build-ups.”
League Standing
The draw leaves The Tarkwa-based outfit in third place with 22 points, as they continue to chase leaders Aduana FC who are leading the log with 23 points and the unbeaten Asante Kotoko, who are on fourth place with 20 points, still with a game in hand.
Next Fixture
Medeama’s next challenge is a high-profile clash against Asante Kotoko in Matchday 12, a game that could prove pivotal in the title race.
