Hearts of Oak produced one of their most spirited displays of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, holding leaders Aduana FC to a goalless draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

Match Overview

  • The Phobians created several clear-cut chances but lacked the finishing touch in Aduana’s box.

  • Coming off a 1–0 home win over Nations FC, Hearts were eager to add Aduana to their list of scalps but squandered opportunities.

  • Aduana, unbeaten against Hearts for five seasons, held firm to preserve their top spot.

Didi Dramani’s Verdict

Head coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani praised his side’s performance but admitted Hearts are still evolving:

“It’s a difficult ground but we had come here to contest for the three points. I think that we deserved the three points and not just a single point.”

On Hearts’ tactical approach:

“We controlled their transitions and kept our identity in terms of pressing and not allowing them to play. They don’t build from the back, they go long, so we dealt with the second balls.”

On areas for improvement:

“We have not reached yet in so many aspects, especially in the area of decision making in the final third.”

League Standings

  • Hearts now have 25 points, level with reigning champions Gold Stars, with two games left in the first half of the season.

  • Aduana remain top with 28 points, two clear of Medeama, who still have a game in hand.
