Hohoe United made history on Sunday after becoming the first team to defeat Medeama SC at the TnA Stadium in the Ghana Premier League this season.

‎Hohoe United secured a memorable 2–1 victory, ending Medeama’s long-standing dominance at home and delivering one of the standout results of the campaign.

‎Before the clash, Medeama had turned the TnA Stadium into a fortress, going 12 consecutive home league matches without defeat, a run that included eight wins and four draws. The Tarkwa-based side had looked nearly unstoppable in front of their home supporters.

‎But Hohoe United produced a determined performance to break that streak, showing resilience and clinical finishing to secure the historic win.

‎The result not only hands Medeama their first home defeat of the season but also marks a significant milestone for Hohoe United, who will take great confidence from overcoming one of the league’s toughest home sides.

‎For Medeama, the defeat serves as a setback in their league ambitions, while Hohoe United’s landmark victory could prove a turning point as the season continues.
