Medeama goalkeeper Felix Kyei insists there is no pressure on players at Medeama SC despite the team’s recent dip in form in the Ghana Premier League.
The Tarkwa-based side, known as the Yellow and Mauves, were dominant in the first round of the 2025/26 campaign and spent several weeks at the top of the table. However, a slump in the second round has seen them lose their grip on first place, dropping behind Bibiani GoldStars.
Their struggles continued over the weekend with a 2-1 defeat to Dreams FC, extending their winless run to six matches.
Speaking after the match, Kyei acknowledged concerns over the team’s form but dismissed suggestions that the situation has created pressure within the squad.
“For us, the players, there is no pressure on us. We are taking it match after match, so if something does not work for us, we have to go back and do our homework and look at how we can win the next game,” he said.
Medeama will now look to respond when they face Eleven Wonders in their next fixture at the TNA Stadium on 27 March.
With the title race intensifying, the focus for Medeama remains on regaining momentum and closing the gap at the top of the table.
