The Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG) leadership is set to meet the players of Eleven Wonders following troubling revelations about their welfare.

Former head coach J.E. Sarpong, who resigned less than a month into his tenure, disclosed that players were owed salaries and at times not properly fed, sparking widespread concern.

Adding weight to the claims, former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey, who previously managed the club, told Asempa FM that he had already alerted PFAG to intervene:

“I want to stay mute because I don’t want to create problems. After all, it is football that has made me who I am today. I went in there to help, but if I decide to talk, it will be more than what J.E. Sarpong said.

I hope Eleven Wonders will change. I sometimes feel for the players because I don’t think it is the best. Footballers don’t deserve to go through what Eleven Wonders players are going through.

At the right time, PFAG will meet the players and discuss their welfare… I just hope that PFAG will go to the aid of the players because, with what is happening, it is not the best.”

Current Situation

  • Eleven Wonders remain the only side in the Ghana Premier League without a win after 11 matches.

  • The club sits bottom of the table, with morale further dented by off-field challenges.

  • They will host Dreams FC in their Matchday 12 fixture at the University of Ghana Stadium, hoping to secure their first victory of the campaign.
