Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has confidently declared that his side will win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.
The bold statement follows Medeama’s 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders on Friday at the TnA Stadium, a result that ended a difficult run of six matches without a win.
Tanko praised his players for their performance, highlighting their control of the game and determination to secure all three points. The victory has lifted the Tarkwa-based side back to the top of the league standings, albeit temporarily, ahead of the remaining Week 27 fixtures.
Despite acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, Tanko remains optimistic about his team’s chances as the season enters its final stretch.
“Normally, the last seven to eight games won’t be easy, but I think we have to take it game by game, and I’m sure by the end of the league we will be champions,” he said in a post-match interview.
With several crucial matches still to be played, Medeama’s title ambitions will be tested in the coming weeks, but Tanko’s comment reflects growing belief within the squad as they push for domestic success.
