The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced a scheduled power outage in parts of Weija, Kasoa, and nearby communities on Sunday, May 25, to carry out essential maintenance at the Kasoa Bulk Supply Point.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, May 22, the planned maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is aimed at improving power reliability and service delivery in the affected areas.
The outage is expected to impact several communities, including Kpormotey, Kalabule, Adaakope, Amuzu Kope, Amanfrom, Denchira, Ashalaja, Adam Nana, Nurses Quarters, Kwame Anum, Kuwait, Lamgma, Fulani, Mama Africa, Broadcasting, and surrounding areas.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), in a related message, apologised for the inconvenience.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the statement said.
GRIDCo has urged residents to plan ahead and assured that the scheduled works are critical to delivering a more stable and efficient power supply in the long run.
