Bechem United inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Inter Allies at their own backyard at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.

The hunters played above themselves to record a stunning 2-1 victory away from home in a crunch fixture.

Bechem United took the lead in the 51st minute of the game as captain Moro Salifu converted from the spot after a foul in the penalty box.

It did not take too long for the home side to assert themselves in the game earning a penalty kick which was duly converted by Paul Abanga.

Everything pointed to a stalemate for both teams but Bechem United's Hafiz Wontah Konkoni had other ideas as late into the game around the 83rd minute he gave the hunters a deserving lead.

It was the first game for Inter Allies since sacking head coach Tony Lokko last week and replacing him with Henrik Lehm.

Bechem United are now unbeaten in their last four matches in the Ghana Premier League having won two games and two draws.

Inter Allies are having a bad patch as it is their second defeat on a trot and are yet to win a game in the league since beating Hearts of Oak 1 nil.
