Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies face a challenging road ahead in the 2024 WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League qualifiers, which commence next month.

The 'Hasmal Ladies' are set to return to the continental stage after clinching the 2023/24 Ghana Women's Premier League title with a 2-1 victory over rivals Ampem Darkoa Ladies, ending a two-year absence.

In the upcoming qualifiers, Hasaacas Ladies have been placed in Group B, alongside formidable opponents: Nigerian champions Edo Queens, AS Grade Nationale from Niger, and Burkinabe side Ominisports Entichele.

Hasaacas Ladies previously made history as the first Ghanaian club to compete in the CAF Women's Champions League during its inaugural edition in 2021.

They delivered a standout performance, reaching the final but falling short against the current holders, Sundowns Ladies from South Africa.

Despite the absence of head coach Yussif Basigi, who is currently preparing the Black Princesses for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, Hasaacas Ladies remain determined to make a mark in the qualifiers.

They will aim to secure a spot in the main competition, showcasing their resilience and skill in Cote D'Ivoire.

The WAFU Zone B qualifiers will run from August 10-23, 2024, providing Hasaacas Ladies with a crucial opportunity to prove their prowess on the continental stage.
