Dethroned Ghana Women's Premier League Champions Hasaacas Ladies have been shortlisted for the Women's Club of the Year at the 2022 CAF Awards.

The giants from the west had a glorious campaign in the 2020/2021 season where they made a clean sweep of all trophies on offer domestically.

Hasaacas Ladies won the Women's Premier League title and also followed it up with the FA Cup before winning the WAFU B champions league qualifiers to represent West Africa at the maiden CAF Women's Champions League.

Eventual winners Mamelodi Sundowns Women stopped them as they finished second to the South African side.

South African side Mamelodi Sundowns handed the Ghanaian Women's side a 2-0 defeat in the finals of the tournament.

The Ghanaian side will have to battle familiar foes Mamelodi Sundowns and AS FAR from Morocco to win the prize.

Meanwhile, Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu, both Hasaacas Ladies stars, are among three final nominees for Women's Young Player, with Badu also nominated for Women's Interclub Player of the Year.

The 2022 CAF awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 19:00 GMT
