Heart of Lions continued their impressive form in the Ghana Premier League with a dominant 3-0 victory over Legon Cities FC in a match-week 12 encounter at Kpando.

The game began with Legon Cities opting for a defensive approach, aiming to avoid an early concession. However, the hosts were relentless in their attack and broke the deadlock in the 21st minute.

Kwadwo Obeng Jr. scored his first goal in Kpando with a stunning backheel finish, putting Heart of Lions ahead.

Moments later, Obeng Jr. nearly doubled the lead, but his effort struck the crossbar, leaving the score 1-0 at halftime.

Legon Cities started the second half with renewed vigor and created a few promising opportunities, but the Lions' defense stood firm.

In the 60th minute, Mustapha Yakubu extended the lead with a clinical finish following a well-timed pass from Obeng Jr.

Six minutes later, Nana Kwame Oppong made it 3-0, effectively sealing the game and turning it into a comprehensive win for the home side.

The victory extends Heart of Lions' unbeaten run to five matches, further solidifying their strong position in the league.

Their next challenge will be an away trip to FC Samartex.

Meanwhile, Legon Cities, who struggled to find a foothold in the game, will aim to bounce back when they host Bechem United in their next fixture.
