A heartbreaking video has emerged showing a student disrespecting and hitting a teacher.

The recent incident, which happened at Frederick Douglass High School, off of Gwynns Falls Parkway, sees the student scuffling with another student.

Soon, the student pushes the other student away and charges at the teacher, hitting her on her face.

The teacher did not retaliate but is seen following the student who hit her out of the classroom.

According to reports, the Baltimore teacher just returned to school after undergoing cancer surgery.

It was also reported that the Douglass High School Principal didn’t suspend the student for his actions.

Baltimore City Public Schools spokesperson Edie House-Foster confirmed the incident in a statement, saying:

School administrators at Frederick Douglass High School continue to investigate a physical altercation that took place today when a teacher was struck by a student following a verbal exchange.

The statement continues:
Ensuring a safe teaching and learning environment for our students and staff is paramount to City Schools. Upon reviewing the incident, school administrators will apply disciplinary action in accordance with Baltimore City Public Schools’ Code of Conduct.
