Accra Hearts of Oak's head coach, Martin Koopman, has embarked on the team's journey to Tamale with a 23-man squad for their first league match of the season.

The fixture against Real Tamale United marks the beginning of matchweek 1 in the betPawa Premier League and is slated to be held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Friday.

Koopman's squad includes three goalkeepers: Richard Attah, Eric Ofori Antwi, and Richmond Ayi.

However, several key players will be absent from this fixture, including Michelle Sarpong, Linda Mtange Don, Isaac Frimpong, Gideon Asante, Issah Hamza, Enock Asubonteng, and others.

Injuries have prevented Enock Asubonteng and Linda Mtange Don from joining the squad, while Gideon Asante and Michelle Sarpong are currently recovering from their own injuries.
