Hearts of Oak sets record, becomes first Ghanaian club to get twitter verification

Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club have set a record after becoming the first Ghanaian football club to be verified on the social media platform Twitter.

The Accra based side has been verified after amassing over 29,000 followers on their twitter account ahead of all other Ghanaian football clubs in the country.

They took to their twitter platform to thank twitter for finally giving them the all important blue tick which shows recognition.

Several celebrities, clubs and companies have literally fought for the sign of recognition on their pages and the move by twitter to verify Hearts of Oak comes as very good news for fans of the Phobia club.
