Hearts of Oak captain Benjamin Asare has reassured the club’s supporters of improved performances despite a sluggish start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians currently sit ninth in the standings with nine points, six behind the league leaders, having secured just two wins from their opening seven matches.

However, they are on a five-game unbeaten run.

Following a goalless draw against Dreams FC last Sunday, Asare urged fans to remain patient, expressing confidence in the team's growth.

“What I have to tell the fans is to be patient with the team. It is not every game that we can win. They should expect more victories from us," Asare said.

"If you watch the games that we have played, you’ll realise that we have improved. And football too, it is not every day that will go your way.”

Hearts of Oak will next face Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium as they aim to climb higher in the league.
