Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara expressed his disappointment after a challenging 1-0 defeat to Bibiani GoldStars, a result that he finds difficult to accept.
The match took place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday during Matchday 8, with Samuel Attah Kumi scoring the only goal of the game, while Hamza Issah missed a crucial penalty.
In his post-match remarks, Ouattara acknowledged the disappointment felt by both fans and players. “The reaction of the fans is normal.
We understand that when things don’t go well, their reaction is like that,” he stated.
He further emphasized the weight of the loss, saying, “Today, to be frank, that defeat is difficult, and it’s not easy to accept for the fans, for us, and for the players. We ask them to continue to support the team.”
Following this setback, Hearts of Oak now sits in 12th place on the league table with only 9 points.
The team will look to bounce back as they prepare to face Medeama SC in Matchday 9 at TNA Park.
