Hearts of Oak are set to strengthen their goalkeeping department by targeting Accra Lions’ standout shot-stopper, Andrews Owusu.

Following a challenging previous season, the Phobians are keen to address their goalkeeping issues.

Owusu, who played a crucial role in Accra Lions' impressive second-place finish in the Ghana Premier League, has emerged as a prime candidate to shore up Hearts of Oak's defense.

The club is reportedly in advanced negotiations to secure Owusu's signature, with personal terms expected to be finalized soon.

The move comes as Hearts of Oak aim to bounce back from narrowly escaping relegation last season, thanks to a dramatic final-day victory over Berekum Chelsea.

With the new season set to kick off in September, Hearts of Oak are focused on making significant improvements and are hopeful that Owusu’s addition will bolster their squad and enhance their performance in the 2024/25 campaign.
