Accra Hearts of oak has refuted "deliberately concocted" reports that Director of Football and first team coach Kim Grant is on the verge of leaving the club following the exit of MD Mark Noonan.

A reaction by the Phobians comes hours after news report that Grant was planning to resign from the rainbow club just after 3 months in office.

Reports circulating in the media had it that Kim Grant is not happy with the way Mark Noonan left the club  and does not think he can work under the new system since he was brought in by the American.

But in a media release, the former African Champions asked their fans to ignore the report and treat it with the contempt it deserves.

It said the former Black Star striker is committed to the Hearts project, which has nothing to do with absence of Noonan.

".....All such reports are false and have been deliberately concocted by a section of the media to cause disunity," the statement said.

"We wish to remind our followers that Kim Grant is committed to the Hearts project and delighted and ready to work with the new CEO Fredrick Moore whom he has already had productive discussions with to bring success to tell club".

The statement also revealed that Grant who has so far chalked some success with Phobians is a short holiday.

Kim Grant was in November last year  named the club's Director of Football and First team  coach in a policy direction by the Frank Noonan.

He officially began his job in  December 1 last year, and has since built a winsome side that has only lost once in the club's 18 matches in the off season.

He is tasked with all technical aspects of the club, from the youth teams to the senior side.

He is expected to return to duty within the week in preparation for the NC Special Competition which is expected to commence later this month.
