Accra Hearts of Oak have clinched the Ghana @60 Cup after sharing spoils with Asante Kotoko in the second leg.

Coach Frank Nuttall’s side managed to hold Kotoko to a 0-0 draw in the return leg tie at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak lifted the trophy on a 3-1 aggregate after whipping their arch-rivals in the first leg tie at the Accra Sports Stadium few months ago.

The Rainbow club dominated the first department of the game but failed to register the opener.

Kotoko could have grabbed the lead but Kwame Boahene could not connect a pass from Saddick Adams in the 5th minute.

Trio Winful Cobbinah, Aminu Alhassan and Samudeen Ibrahim distributed brilliant passes among themselves to frustrate the Kotoko defenders in the mid of the first half.

Cosmos Dauda failed to tap Cobbinah’s pass into the back of net after the ball was cleared by Awal Mohammed.

Both sides squandered their chances and free kicks awarded to them in the first half as in ended in a dull draw.

After the break, the Porcupine Warriors gained possession as Emmanuel Gyamfi tested goalkeeper Ben Mensah with a powerful shot.

Coach Steve Pollack charges continued to mount pressure on the visitors but failed to find the back of net.

Kotoko nearly opened the score in the dying embers of the match but a 20-yard venomous shot from Kwadwo Dei went wide.
