Players and the technical team of Accra Hearts were on Monday night feted at the Ridge residence of Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV following their triumphant feat in the 2020/21 season.

It comes just 24 hours after the team won the 2021 MTN FA Cup to finish the season on historical note.

Coach Samuel Boadu and his men capped off the season by beating Ashgold to complete a historic treble.

The promise-filled meeting was held to congratulate the playing body and the technical team for their historic achievement, which comes after 21 years.

After the the return of the FA Cup competition in 2011, the Phobians had had to wait for 10 years to lay hands on the trophy  they last won it the year 2000.

The Board Chairman who, until the success story of the club, has been the subject of massive criticism by fans, held a dinner for the team and other management members.

Togbe, who is the majority shareholder of the club used the platform assure the players of his full support and commitment to support the team during the CAF Champions League campaign next season.

An 8-7 on penalty victory, after grueling 120 minutes goalless draw, gave the Phobians their eleventh FA Cup title, the highest above every team.

The win brought to two the major titles won by the Rainbow Family following the historic win of the Ghana Premier League a month ago.

The Phobians ended their 11 years Ghana Premier League winless run after displaying a stupendous outing against bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko to win the title.

Hearts had trailed Kotoko by 7 points before the start of the second round but managed to gallop past the Porcupine Warriors to win the league with a 4-point lead.

Following the win against AshGold on Sunday in the FA Cup final, the Phobians are automatic winners of the Ghana Super Cup, bringing their title to three this season.
