Ghanaian forward Henry Addo is celebrating silverware after helping Maccabi Tel Aviv clinch the 2024/25 Israeli Premier League title.

The 22-year-old was an unused substitute in the championship playoff final on Saturday, as Maccabi Tel Aviv produced a dominant display to crush Beitar Jerusalem 5-0, sealing their position at the top of the table.

The emphatic victory saw them finish the season with 80 points, two ahead of Hapoel Beer Sheva.

Following the final whistle, Addo joined his jubilant teammates in celebrating the league success — a fitting end to what has been a breakthrough year for the young Ghanaian.

Addo, who joined the Tel Aviv-based giants in 2024 from Slovakian side MSK Zilina, endured a slow start but gradually earned his place in the squad.

He made 15 league appearances, scoring one goal and adding depth to Maccabi’s attacking options with his energetic performances.

The winger also impressed in Europe, featuring in nine Europa League matches and scoring two goals, further underlining his potential at the continental level.

Though not a regular starter, Addo's contributions throughout the season were vital, and he is determined to build on this momentum heading into the 2025/26 campaign.

With his first major trophy now secured, the former Zilina man is aiming to stake a stronger claim for a consistent starting role and possibly a future call-up to the senior Black Stars squad.
