TalkLife TV is celebrating successful marriages; and Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam and his wife, Mrs. Monica Wengam have appeared on the show to share their love story.

The duo who have been married for close to 23 years say they both got married as virgins.

Opening up on their love story,  the two told host, Nana Yaa Konadu Yiadom, that their journey has been a successful one because of their decision to involve God in their marriage.

According to Rev. Wengam, he had made a vow to God that he would marry as a virgin before even meeting his lover.

"My foundation was laid by the Assemblies of God, but it also depends on how I behave as a person. I promised myself I wouldn't engage in sexual activity until I was married. I prayed about it, I fasted, I wrote it down in my Bible, and when I met her I told her that sex was out, and she also said it was her call value," he said on the show.

Mrs. Monica Wengam, on her side disclosed that her father served as the driving force behind her decision to remain virgin until she marries.

"My father used to write me letters when I was in school, and in one of those letters, he made a wise statement. 'It is the pride of every woman to be married a virgin', she said, adding that "The letter from her father truly moved me, and for that reason I decided to remain a virgin until marriage."
