Ghanaian international, Mohammed Kudus shares his delight and what Spurs fans should expect from him after signing a long-term deal with the North Londoners.
The 24-year old playmaker completed a 6-year deal on Thursday, July 10 as the Club took to their official website and social media platforms to announce the capture.
The former West Ham and Ajax potent winger comes in with the dynamism, the strength and athleticism that will beef up the Spurs squad and the philosophy of new manager Thomas Frank as he prioritized the signing of the Ghanaian international.
Speaking to the Club’s Media Team, Kudus expressed his excitement over joining the 2025 UEFA Europa League champions and what he has in store for the fans:
“It feels great to be here, I’m very happy and can’t wait to start,” he said.
“I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game.” Kudus added.
“I like to entertain the fans as well. That’s what football is about – it’s putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home, and after the money they’ve spent to buy a ticket. Although there is also a lot of seriousness and competitiveness in the game, I still think it’s a sport I try to enjoy as much as I can and give the fans something to enjoy too. I hope fans are going to really enjoy what I’m going to bring to the team here.” The mercurial playmaker added.
Tottenham Hotspurs upon landing the Ghanaian winger, battled it out with other top European and Saudi clubs to land the Ghanaian.
On why he chose Tottenham, Kudus stated the dream of playing at a bigger club and the project as well:
“I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level and the call from Spurs that came was huge for me so I decided I would like to join, as well as the Champions League football, and also the project of the managers, the developmental philosophy of the gaffer made me join.”
Kudus also talked about his journey and how he has now gotten to where he is:
“For my professional journey, as I played in Denmark for two seasons, Ajax for two and a half years, West Ham and now here, it is a dream come true to be able to use my God-given talent to make an impact in my society, where I come from and also to change the lives of people and make my family proud.”
Kudus is expected to bring in fresh new energy into the already pumped-up Spurs squad as they gear up for next season’s domestic and continental competitions.
