Ghanaian entrepreneur and  influencer, Dulcie Boateng has issued a strong public statement demanding the immediate removal of a defamatory article published by GhanaWeb, which falsely claimed she acquired her wealth through a relationship with a fraudulent partner.

The controversy emerged following Dulcie's recent appearance on the Black Volta podcast, where she shared insights into her personal journey and career growth.

However, a misleading headline and article by GhanaWeb went viral shortly after, distorting the content of her interview and suggesting that her financial success was linked to a so-called "fraud boyfriend."

In a formal response posted to her social media, Boateng firmly rejected the claims, calling them “an outright distortion” of what she actually said during the interview.

"I'm issuing a formal request for the immediate removal of the defamatory article falsely claiming I gained my wealth through an association with a fraudulent individual-an outright distortion of my interview with Black Volta," she said.

She further criticised the publication for what she described as “reckless reporting”, warning that if the article is not removed and corrected promptly, she will instruct her legal team to take action for defamation and reputational harm.

"This kind of reckless reporting is not only damaging but legally irresponsible. If the article is not taken down and corrected without delay, I will have no choice but to involve my legal team to pursue the appropriate action for defamation and reputational harm."

"I've built my success through hard work and integrity, and I won't stand by while false narratives attempt to discredit that," she added.

Dulcie Boateng has long been recognised for her achievements in the beauty and fashion industry, building her brand through entrepreneurship and a strong social media presence.
