Ghanaian international, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has made known to the public his earnest desire to return back to the grass, declaring that he will be fit to participate in preseason for The Foxes.
The 21-year old missed out on the completion of the just ended Premier League season that saw his side relegated the top flight after he suffered a an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury which rendered him out of the season. He sustained the injury in the 2025 AFCON qualifier game against Angola in Luanda on November 15, 2024.
The former Dreams FC and Sporting CP talent took to the internet with in a very high-spirited fashion, announcing how his rehabilitation program has been so far.
“I have been working so hard. My rehab has been so good with the people, the physio, the management, and the players. Everyone has been so supportive of me. I’ll be ready before pre-season,” he told Leicester City’s media.
“I can’t wait to be back on the field, running again, fighting for the badge as always,” he added.
The former Steadfast FC winger begun the season with Leicester City and contributed with two assists in eleven games before his unfortunate injury.
He will now compete in the English EFL Championship after just a season in the top flight.
